Eponine Lutz

Éponine Lutz's approach has not been the subject of any published artist statement; what follows is reconstructed from her work on consignment at the gallery and from the texts she writes for Maison Cossettini. Her material is fabric, worked as a pictorial surface rather than as a functional object. The "Organisme" series takes the form of square textile murals (120 x 120 cm, 125 x 125 cm depending on the piece), conceived for hanging on a wall rather than for domestic use — a direct shift of her lampshade craft into the field of the unique work. Her vocabulary is one of pattern, colour and material: organic cotton satin, designer patterns, palettes she describes as "colourful, sensitive and expressive". In an article written for her brand, she argues that a room is transformed less by accumulation than by a visual anchor point: "Personalising an interior is less about accumulating objects than choosing a few pieces that create a link between the volumes, the light and the textiles already there" (Éponine Lutz, Maison Cossettini blog, 2026). She also stresses the role of textiles, which "bring depth, relief and softness". Note: these quotations come from brand editorial texts and not from studio remarks about her artistic work. To date there is no interview, critical text or exhibition note about her.

Éponine Lutz is a French textile designer, founder of the Maison Cossettini brand. The only publicly verifiable biographical information comes from her brand's website: she is presented there as "passionate about decoration", and the site states that she lived "about ten years" in Canada before developing her business in France. No training, art school or date of birth is documented to date, either online or in the gallery's archives. Maison Cossettini, which she conceived and runs, is a micro-enterprise based in the Alpes-Maritimes (registered address in Antibes): it designs organic cotton satin lampshades, handmade in France, as well as exclusive fabrics, cushions and do-it-yourself kits. Her work as an artist grows out of this practice of printed fabric: large-format textile wall pieces, gathered under the generic title "Organisme" and numbered (Organisme 006, Organisme 009). Galerie Calderone has listed her among its guest artists since August 2026 and showed a piece from this series in its Saint-Tropez space during the summer of 2026. To date she has no page on the gallery's website and no personal artist website separate from her brand's.
